A Simple Metric for Finite Dimensional Vector Spaces

چکیده
A new metric for subspaces of a finite dimensional vector space V is identified. The metric is determined by the dimensions of M + N and M∩N , where M and N are subspaces of V . Some properties of the metric are derived as well. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 15A03

Cyclic wavelet systems in prime dimensional linear vector spaces
Finite affine groups are given by groups of translations and di- lations on finite cyclic groups. In this paper we consider the so called a vector metric space, which is a generalization of metric space, where the metric is Riesz space valued. We prove some common fixed point theorems for three mappings in this space. Obtained results extend and generalize well-known comparable results in the literature.
